Best Individual Offensive Lineman in Kentucky?

Featured Replies

What year? I'm guessing he's a Left Tackle. Any interest or offers?

He is a junior. He should go somewhere, if he gets taller I would think possibly big time. His dad is Mikey Bright, who in my opinion is one of the best to ever play at Mayfield.

Nice. Thanks for the updates (you too raiderbird).

Did Mikey Bright play in college?

Lex Sowards. 6'4 280. Committed to Indiana State.

Ditto.... Lex is a great kid also. Can't wait to see him play for Indiana State.

No...there were some issues. But he was a good young man and is today. Mikey was 6'3" 225lb and a load. Tony Franklin was on our staff in 95 and he went on to coach at UK and he said without a doubt Mikey would have started at UK. Mikey went out to Coffeyville, Kansas and left. Sometimes things don't work out. Mikey has another son on Mayfield's team who is a freshman. He will be a running back and he will be very good. He is smallish right now but if he gets some size , he will be extremely good.

Simon Kenton's Ben Walling, who has offers from Cornell and Columbia. He also has UC, Toledo, Vandy and a list of other schools looking at him.

Cameron Crimm, Scott: plays left tackle and in short yardage will line up at fullback. Cameron is 6'4'' and is around 270. He runs a 5.0 forty. He has offers from Indiana State, Western, Eastern, and Morehead. UC and some MAC schools are starting to show lots of interest lately. He impressed some UC scouts last year when they came and watched James Bolden from Holmes when they played Scott @Scott in basketball. He is not the best, but definitely top 5.

I think the kid could be very good. He seems to take a ton of plays off and plays when he wants. When he wants to play he is as good as anybody. I think his motor is what will hold him back from a high DI scholarship...JMO
