Here's a question for you.. does the suspension apply to an Out of State game the following week? If not, does it then begin once the team plays an in-state foe?

 

What if the suspension is garnered playing an out of state foe?

 

Does it matter if the ejection occurs in the State of Kentucky or out of Kentucky?

 

Belfry has a kid who was ejected against an Ohio team. He recovered an onside kick and was at the bottom of the pile. Certainly tempers flared under the pile and when he got up words were exchanged and there may have been some shoving, but from all reports a punch was never thrown when he was ejected. The flag came once everyone was peeled off the pile. Most of those who saw it think it should have been an unsportsmanlike conduct call, but not come close to warranting an ejection.

 

Gallia Academy then on the ensuing drive has a player similarly ejected for what supposedly should have been nothing more than an Unsportsmanlike Conduct. The game was at Belfry

 

Belfry's next opponent is a TN team.. then they have two District Games.

 

Does the Gallia player now have to fall subject to the OH ejection rules when they return to action? If KY is a 2 game suspension and OH is only a game, would the player have to sit out 2 games since it was called in KY? Is there any way the OH athletic association would know beyond the honor system since it was out of state?

I know its the student/athlete here we are talking about but when a coach is benched isn't there some coin involved as well?

 

I do believe that suspensions should be looked at by a committee and should all be clearly documented and final decisions based off of facts and clear thinking.

 

Iam not taking the side of the kid by no means but too many times the game is about the "officials,refs,umpires" egos then the kids and the integrity of the game.

 

I would imagine a melee would warrant this type of review so why not every ejection? And so there is no confusion, I would instill minimum 1 game whether you are guilty or not just because the ref had to make a judgement call to avoid escallation and the and 2 games is maximum.

 

We must respect and protect the authority of our elders and officials but those same people must also respect the game and not abuse their authority...JMO

Frankfort had a kid ejected last night for after play shoving. The red said because it was the kicker. Officials this year have been at best average.

How to get out of ejections. Call Murray High School. They can get your school out of an ejection everytime. In all sports. Your kids can throw punches and it can be put on youtube and taken off when the kid is re-instated. Darndest thing I have ever seen. Coach said there was an "appeals process" every coach I have talked to NEVER got an appeal. Who's lying the KHSAA or the coach?

To be fair, they do not get officials from the NKY Association during regular season. The officials in their area are sub par IMO. There are several very good officials from there, but not as many as there should be.
