Because the fans see something go wrong and think "here we go again"... and the air comes out of the stadium. The media, fans, etc. have been there through those losses and whether intentional or not, I'd guess some of the Braves feel pressure because of the team's past performance.
October 4, 201312 yr 4-0 Dodgers in the third. Kershaw has allowed 4 runs or more four times in his 33 starts. The Dodgers allowed that or more in the total game five other times in his starts. So 9/33 starts the Dodgers gave up what the Braves now need.

I believe the Braves won both home games in that series before losing game 5 in San Fran. Even so only a hand full of players were on that team I believe. Hudson, McCann, Uggla, maybe 1 or 2 more.
