If Beechwood has another really good game like they did versus Franklin County and beats Holmes by 2 TD's or more, they should be #2. Russellville should win big this week so nothing they do can improve their viewpoint.

 

 

 

I don't see this being a enough to move Bw up. Russ has beaten a better team in Ft Campbell than anyone Bw has defeated thus far and Holmes is not better than FC. Bw will have their chance to prove themselves with their remaining schedule but for me a Holmes win is not enough to warrant a move up. ... and I would think you can't penalize Russellville until they lose a game. It appears they are set at the number #2 spot for a few more weeks... minimum.

I'm good with your opinion, but don't say "After listening to the game." FC was a good team and Beechwood played well. They did make some mistakes, but I saw the game and I will give Beechwood credit for making things happen. I will still say that a terrible PI call changed the game. That said, we need to be good enough to make sure that doesn't happen.

 

For the Record... I have no issue with BW's ranking and I will have no issue if it stays the same for a while. The fact is until the FC game, I did not feel good about where we were and probably would have said we were farther down on the list. Although we lost the FC game, despite additional injuries, the style of play was of the type that can win big games. While he made some mistakes, I feel like Feiger turned a corner. The line did a much better (not great) job of blocking when it counted. Now, they need to get a running game going. I believe that opening up the passing game will do that.

For me, this was totally in-doubt until last Friday. Even with a loss, they showed me they are capable. Heck, I felt better in both of Beechwood's losses than I did after the wins.

That Dixie loss was the worst game of the year. Not because they lost, because Dixie is very good. But because of they way they lost - inability to stop Dixie running the ball and very poor job running the ball by the Tigers. That game put serious doubts in my mind about this team. The good news is Beechwood has improved significantly each week since that game.

OK, I guess we just have to disagree on Dixie and Holy Cross games. I certainly had an issue with not being able to stop Caple. But then I think there aren't a whole lot of Caples out there. Especially in Classs-A football. I stand by what I said. I didn't feel great about the loss for sure, but I saw more positive in the Dixie loss and Certainly the FC loss than I did in either win. I feel like Lima lost that game, we didn't win it. I was ok with it because it was the beginning of the season. Holy Cross is a bad team and we were not able to shut them down early. That should have been a running clock in the first half and Tigers didn't even get it to that point.

^ The Holy Cross game was the second most disappointing game for me, for the same reasons as the Dixie game. I agree, the Tigers should have put a running clock on that game. The only reason I choose Dixie over Holy Cross is the inability of our defense to stop Dixie in that game.
