You see, YOU know things like that...many people coming from outside that area don't.

 

And I wasn't complaining, just throwing out my perception of what people were saying as there are many times I feel the same way. I don't mind paying a fair price for something, and I'm all about capitalism, but there comes a point to were it just seems crazy, and that's the point I think that some are trying to make. It used to be a time you could enjoy a nice outing with the family and go to a ball game, go to a fireworks show, to the movies, etc. without breaking the bank (and flying to Australia isn't usually on that list, though I would love to do that myself). It just seems like those simple things have become cost prohibitive the past few years.

 

You obviously have a computer or smart phone, how hard is it to google parking for Bengals games.

I think it's funny how many people "pony up" $8.75 for a 16oz. bottle of beer, $5.75 for a bottled water, $5.75 for slice of LaRosas pizza & $6.50 for a hot dog........STUPID!!!!!

Point being, just because someone knows how to save a little money doing something doesn't mean everyone knows. The Bengals parking was an example.

 

Here's another example. I play a lot of golf. I use Golfnow almost exclusively to play, reason being I can save up to 70% or more on a round of golf, and not just at lower tier places but at some pretty nice courses as well. Many many golfers I know who play a lot have either not heard or for whatever reason just not really aware of Golfnow or are somewhat afraid/unsure to use it for whatever reason. What's obvious to some maybe isn't always obvious to others.

What would you have those sports do then? If they have to be profitable, and the only way for them to create income is via gate receipts, what else do you want them to do? If more people showed up, ticket prices could be less, if they dont, prices have to go up to cover cost.

 

These sports still do not make money or cover their costs by charging the family members $8.00 instead $6.00 a game. They are still hurting the same folks that already sold cookie dough and had a bake sale. They are subsidized by the money making programs or the boosters.

I'd gladly pay the $2 admission fee to the Clubhouse if it would keep some of the present rift out.

 

I'd pay $2 admission to have the chairs cleaned. Wait until the racino is in full operation. The riff-raft will be moving South to Turfway until that place closes up.
