I am taking the Juggs! 21 14

Newport Catholic 21-7.

Really looking forward to this game to see where Lloyd and New Cath are at.

Assuming NCC is back to near full strength here is what I see as keys to the game:

1. Lloyd short passing game has to be on as this is the key to them moving the ball on NCC. They are not going to run it, and they need to stay out of the 3rd and long and sack situations as NCC pass rush has been decent even against the 6A teams.

2. NCC must continue to win special teams. This was a hidden reason they were able to beat Ashland.

3. Lloyd must not allow NCC to dominate on the ground. One it leads to points and two it always flips field position at the very least.

4. Take your pick depending on which team you root for.... either NCC needs to jump out to a lead like last year on the way to a running clock or Lloyd needs to hang around within 1 or 2 scores and get some Mo for the 4th quarter. NCC is definitely the deeper team so Lloyd needs to not wear down.

Really looking forward to this game to see where Lloyd and New Cath are at.

I agree Sarge! This is the is kind of going to let that district and the other where it stands as far as who has the strength..

I agree. I think more so for Lloyd but looking forward to it.

I'm just happy the Breds finally get a home game after four straight on the road.

I know the feeling, after this Friday Cooper would of had 1 home game out of 6 games.

NCC wins big. They won't be tested in 2A this year until the semifinals

Lloyd's play, and to some extent New Cath's, so far this year puts some question marks on this game. However, I think this is where we see that schedule does matter. New Cath wins by 2 TD's or more.

I just cant see this being a game....New Cath by 21+

For the Breds there is no more 6A/5A vs. 2A talk. They play a tough out of district schedule to get ready for district play and playoff time. It's time to put up or shut up. Tonight is the biggest game of the year and I fully expect them to come out and show that they are still the team to beat in the district & 2A state. Motto this year is Tradition does not graduate, prove it tonight with a huge win over Lloyd and start the run to Bowling Green. GO BREDS
