Wow! I had picked Ashland to win this one easily. Russell must have played a great game. I certainly hope that someone will fill us in on this one.

Congrats to Ashland on the Win.

I am shocked Ashland did not run away with this one.

Russell must be getting better with each snap.

The demise of Russell has been greatly exaggerated.

I wouldn't be so fast to concede that Russell is struggling. Historically, Russell always plays Ashland and Ironton close. In many cases closer that anyone expects. I've said it before, and I will say it again, Russell will struggle to be second in their district, and I expect them to be number 3 behind Mason and Lewis.

But, this was a big time performance by the Red Devils and they did exceed expectations this week.

Ashland/Russell is a pretty big rival game in any sport they play but I thought the Tomcats would win this one easily. Great game by the Red Devils.

So what was the difference, missed extra point or 2 pt. conversion fail?

Russell had two field goals and Ashland, of course, had one touchdown and extra point.

Without any real offensive firepower this year they will struggle to beat good teams.

Agreed.
