David Kapinga Leaves Southwestern HS

Featured Replies

If true, they've lost 2 of their top 3 (returning) players. Still talented but that puts Wayne County as the obvious front runner in the 12th.

Who else have they lost?

Was David at SW before current coach? Or did he come in after Wright was hired?

He came with Wright I believe.

Rumors have it that he was living with his brother, with a teammate or alone. I never was able to verify any of those rumors that I heard.

I was told a year or so ago he lived alone in Somerset.

Coach Cal = 1 and done coach

Coach Wright = 2 and done coach

Is Steve Wright still at Southwestern?

what are you hearing?

what are you hearing?

Just wondering. I haven't heard anything. I just didn't know if he was still there.

With Kapinga and Collier gone, it could be a long year.

If I understand correctly, his son had graduated a few years back, and Wright has been in coaching for awhile. I'd imagine he has enough years to retire if he wanted.

So now it is October 5th. Has Kapinga ever returned to class? If not, he's missed four weeks of school.

If this thing is still up in the air, but the student-athlete hasn't attended school for such a long period it would seem that he might run into some serious eligibility problems. At least for a while (until he gets caught up, if that's possible).
