I still think something is wrong with him....In the past he'd have 4-5 bad swings a year it felt like. This year it's nearly one an AB.

While I wouldn't have done it, I didn't have an issue with the BP bunt....The attempted bunt by Cozart (when you just PR with Hamilton) and Mesoraco were ignorant.

Well I sure do hope he's not one of those guys that will consistently put up good stats, but when it comes to crunch time, he folds like a 10 cent accordian.

He's always produced in those situations in the past....Something is wrong with him IMO. Saying that, he's still had a fantastic season, that nearly everyone else would kill to have.

Most of the plays and moves we talked about last night are what I would call questionable, a matter of opinion. Those are moves that happen in every baseball game. One person thinks this should happen, another person thinks that...and there is sound logic behind both sides of the debate. The only move in the game that every person watching would call DUMB was Heisey bunting with the winning run on 3rd and two outs. Now that was DUMB.

Yes. Overall stats are good, but becoming just that, good. He killed it in May and has declined since then. Can you look at stats from playoff games. Small sample size there. Decent avg. but only 1 RBI in 8 games. The Reds need him to produce at a high level. He is getting paid to do that.

Last game is sept 29th. Big month for them. Let's see how Joey performs. Last year he hit .343 in Sept. Only 7 RBIs though.

Every player has slumps through the year. Lets hope he is getting it out of the way now and he will hit a hot streak these last 20 games and playoffs. I think he's fine, just a bad few weeks.
