Raceland (1-1) coming off an overtime loss to Ashland will travel to Boyd County (0-2) for both teams third game of the season. Boyd County is trying to get their first win, not only of the season, but for new head coach John Gillum. Raceland is trying to get back on track after a game that they led the entire game until the last play of overtime, and a game they dominated all statical categories except the final score.

If you like to "score-compare", Mason scrimmaged Ashland, with the only report I saw saying Ashland "nipped" Mason County. Royals played Boyd this past Friday and broke open a close game in the second half to coast.

I can understand that concern I certainly hope not, the Rams were flat in the opener then played with Ram pride, intensity at Ashland. I think this group is experienced enough to stay focused every week after week one.

I hope that the Rams will want to come out and "make a statement" after the loss at Ashland last Friday.
