Reads like Scott completely dominated the line of scrimmage. We all know that will win you lots of games. Holmes 14 penalties really give you no chance, also. Especially with an inexperienced QB.

Congrats to the Eagles. Love the fact they are distributing the carries to so many kids. That will make them hard to beat.

They did. Scotts d-line really dominated the Holmes offensive line. Blake Gay was unblockable in the first half and then Trey Davis was unblockable in the second half. Scott's defensive line was to quick for the Holmes blockers. Linebacker Chris Roberts also had a big game. Scruggs ended up with 70 yards rushing on 20 carriers and I believe one of those rushes was approx. a 37 yard TD. He seemed to have a lot of carriers for negative yards but boy he is a good looking player.

 

Prior to this game I kept reading how much more team speed Holmes had over Scott. Holmes may have more foot speed than Scott but they didn't seem to have very much more football speed than Scott.

Castleman, Brinkman and London all have excellent speed in the backfield, and Osbourne is one of the better running QB's in the area.
