Scruggs and Castleman are good just not the best.

Scott will win. Holmes didnt look good against HC, even though they won going away. Scruggs made things happen when it wasn't there against a slow HC team. Scott will dominate the line of scrimmage and Holmes will get very tired

Holmes...by 2 touchdowns... This Holmes team is more disciplined and the speed also plays a factor in this game... Scruggs is by far the fastest running back in NKY. But do not sleep on the trenches Holmes has big athletic ball players who can make plays...

As for THIS GAME....I think it will be a good one. Scott is bigger but don't possess the team speed that Holmes has.

 

I agree with the poster who said not to sleep on Holmes in the trenches. They have some big physical kids as well. This will come down to whether or not Holmes' qb Brumfield can pass successfully. I think Holmes will be able to get runs here and there but must be able to pass in order to win.

 

I won't predict one team or the other but do think the winner wins by less than 10.

Has anyone mentioned Holmes' resurgent kicking game? Could that be a difference maker if Scott's strength up front neutralizes Holmes' speed? You never know. Bulldogs' placekicker converted first six or seven extra points last week, and Scruggs had a booming punt in third quarter (from own end zone past the 50 in the air). Bulldogs still need to work on kickoffs, though.

Scott's special teams are very good too. Solid kicker, and their punter can boom it. These are two pretty even teams. If Scott makes the mistakes they made last week, they will struggle. If they play mistake free football, they will control the football and keep Scruggs off the field.
