August 20, 201313 yr Dixie is one of my favorites in the area, the only downside at Dixie is the stands sit too low to the field. If you are on the visitors side sitting in the stands you need to sit in the very top row so you can see over the players on the sidelines. I think if they had to do it over again they would make the stands a bit higher or put the field in a bowl like Ryle or Cooper's. I've heard that local building codes limited the height of the visitor side due to the proximity of the school.
August 20, 201313 yr Dixie's was a very nice complex as well, but we did a quick drive by of it and I didn't see it for quite as long as I did some of the others. But what I saw impressed me. Didn't get to make it inside to see anything, though I would have if I had thought that we could. Would have loved to have seen all the gyms. The only school I went into was NewCath. We did get out and walk around Scott's complex as well, but didn't go inside anywhere. Ahh I see. Glad you got to see part of it though! If you are up this way again I can possibly get you in to see the inside. It will all depend if there is something going on inside in which the outside doors are open.

August 20, 201313 yr Sounds like fun, and a really nice gesture by Lawnboy13 to take you around. I did a little driving tour of the stadiums of northern Kentucky a few years back and was very impressed by nearly all of them. But I believe I liked Ludlow, Bellevue and Dayton's the best! I'm a sucker for the little schools, I guess. I like the old school stadiums as well. I like how people watch the Dayton games from the street next to the field. I do not like the brick wall in the corner of the endzone....ouch!! I LOVE the NewCath weight room it's SICK! I also am very impressed by Scotts facilities. The home of the Eagles is tops in NKY!!

Yes the weight room is a little on the small side but they are consistently replacing equipment to keep things running smooth. And the locker rooms in my opinion are pretty good. They aren't D1 or NFL status but they are what I believe to be good high school locker rooms (disclaimer- I'm not sure what other schools have to offer in this category).

Facility wise, outside of not having a fieldhouse, Dixie is nicer than SK. Modern concession stand, full sized track. Locker rooms are nicer than most, and the weight room is on par with many high school facilities. SK has a nice field (but no better than Scott or Dixie) and the fieldhouse (which is not as nice as the one Scott has), but is behind the other two Kenton County Schools otherwise. Even so, SK is still a very nice facility for a high school program. Kenton County Schools has done a really nice job in providing great places to play, practice and watch football.

To small for a 6A school but most the football team workout at Better Bodies.
