Louisville Fishing Spots

Featured Replies

Forgot, it's not a great fishing spot by any means but if you move close to The Highlands it's always fun to swing over to the pond in Cherokee Park. That's where I learned to fly fish. Never caught anything worth putting on the walls but it was super close and could usually get some bites.

I can't help you guys with fishing, but I am always up for helping people find fun things to do that they may not otherwise think of....oh...and sharing a meal....or coffee...and sometimes a drink...Would love to meet you both!
If this happens give me a week or so in advance and I'll do my best to make it up for a drink! :)

My new place is in the Highlands....and I'm definitely planning on spending some quality time in Cherokee Park. Actually, another pleasant surprise about Cherokee Park (considering the fact that apartment living isn't really conducive to it) is the fact that they actually have an archery range area...so I'll actually be able to get in some practice time with my bow. I'm VERY happy about that, actually.

I'd recommend The Fishery. For me, it's great because not only have they already caught the fish for you, but they've battered it, fried it up and put it on a couple pieces of rye bread...

 Excellent advice...plus you can't get arrested for drunken boating.

I'd love to finally meet you Bert.

We will have to hit a gun range or two in the Louisville area.

I would love to.

Do you two know where you will be living in Louisville?

Yes. My wife has actually been living down at our apartment for a few weeks now. We're right off of Bardstown Rd. in the Highlands, pretty close to the Douglas Loop.

Good area for a young couple, you will like it there. I'm not too far from there.

I've parked in Crestwood.

I saw the sign for that. I have a friend who goes there and digs it. He raved about the indoor rifle range.

It is a nice range. They have a pretty good shot too, kind of a local gun shop/shooting range combo. They offer training but the offering seem a little limited.
