Louisville Fishing Spots

Featured Replies

Well I just put my two-weeks notice in at my current employer because I accepted an offer with a company in Louisville in order to move down there with my wife, who started med school at UofL the week before last.

Now I've got to find some new spots to fish.

Anyone got any suggestions? ....I hear the fishing at The Falls of Ohio can be really great if you know what your doing.

I have a friend who posts non-stop pictures from The Falls. Looks like he burns it up. Unfortunately with training this year I haven't taken him up on his invite to take me.

My daughter and her friends used to spend a lot of time at Taylorsville lake. About an hour and 10 min away is Patoka Lake.

Well, isn't it a small world?! I happen to have a boat, am in the process of moving to the Ville, spent waaaaay too many hours in the gross anatomy lab in the med school, have a significant knowledge of both Patoka and Taylorsville. My boat is having withdrawal anyway. Sounds like we need to get together. However, you're only a short hour and 45 from Cumberland. It's the spot I prefer.

Man....that IS a small world. I can tell you, as much time as my wife is going to be spending at school or studying, I'm going to have a fair amount of fishing time on my hands. I think we'll definitely have to arrange for that.

Definitely. I'm planning on trying to get to back for at least all of the home games this season.

I appreciate the offer but I think CWB will tell that with the weight I have lost this past month or so due to two different surgeries, I wouldn't be much good as a anchor! :lol2:

2nd week of October at the earliest. Gonna take the first week off and go grouse hunting with my dad and youngest son in Michigan. I'd love to finally meet you Bert.

Can't help you with the fishing spots... I've never had the patience for it.

Happy to point either of you in the direction of whatever else you might be looking for in the coming weeks/months.

I can't help you guys with fishing, but I am always up for helping people find fun things to do that they may not otherwise think of....oh...and sharing a meal....or coffee...and sometimes a drink...Would love to meet you both!
