So both Short's are gone from Newport?

Yes, one graduated (JaSean), the other (JaQuan) crossed the bridge to Cincinnati.

Revolving door down at Newport. Who will they bring in next?

Two nice passes into the post by McDonald. It's a nice to have a quality high post passer and even better when you have two bigs who can play the high post, low post game.

I talked to Coach Dawn this summer a few weeks ago and he said that Drew's ability to knock down the 3pter has improved greatly. He will be stepping out a bunch this season and that will cause problems for opposing teams.

Drew has worked hard over the summer to improve his game. Can't say who yet, but there is another D1 school that really likes Drew and will be in contact soon.

Walter, let us know if the Holmes starting 5 will be on the "hill" Monday night.

Newcath kids only.

Holmes and a couple Dixie kids (Rabe, Hatton, Isbell, NIehaus, Bolin) had plans of going but were told it was for Newcath kids only.

I have something in the works, however, to get some of the top kids in NKY together. Will post more info when details are ironed out.

If he can hit the 3 it will be a real match up issue for teams.

You can bring him to the perimeter and still have Schulte and Weyer underneath.

Weyer also has the ability to knock down the mid range jumper. I'm thinking both Moeves boys start, however, with Weyer coming off the bench.
