B Bum, I see this as homerism and responded, not calling him the village idiot just calling it as it is. On paper here in the preseason I don't see how any other logical conclusion could be drawn, with the 8 offensive and 8 defensive starters we have back. That said, I have got us all off target and we can rehash it after the season get rolling and see if both or either can live up to the lofty expectations we have for both. I'll just say, Beechwood is one of about 3 schools that has a chance to win the 1A title. Are they the favorite ? Not as I look through my Cardinal colored glasses.

If beechwood is going to break the curse this might be their best shot it several years, this MF team probably not as good as the last 4, but still going to be a tuff job for any single A team to beat the cardinals. Also, I saw the 8th grade team last night, I think last year they were undefeated till the playoffs and I tell you now they are awesome. we all know what having a great Freshman and middle school team means for the upcoming years,, right?

Well, if he had said "a favorite" and not "the favorite" the context would be very different. I see your point. I would love nothing more than to make the trek west in November if nothing else than to see your new scoreboard.

Why is it that every thread mentioning Beechwood gets thread jacked by Mayfield fan? This thread is about Beechwood. Not Mayfield and who they return. To be completely honest, I could care less who Mayfield returns. I'll worry about that when we are in November.

 

And I'm not the only one who thinks Beechwood is the best 1A team in the state. "Received all but 1 1st place vote" from another article. Maybe you Mayfield fans should take off your cardinal colored glasses and realize Beechwood is going to be REALLY good this year.

I really don't see this as threadjacking. Is there any way you can talk about Beechwood and not talk about Mayfield? And vice versa? The past four years clearly show that any discussion about a season's prospects for either team must include discussion of the other. I say keep on talking TP, snake and all other Mayfield posters.

Anyone that knows me, knows I'm not a Beechwood fan. So how am I a homer? I'm simply giving my opinion and you don't like it because you think I'm not giving YOUR team enough credit....which I disagree with completely. Every thread with mention of Beechwood you come in and thread jack and throw in your 2 cents comparing them to Mayfield. Maybe you are a little more worried about them than you want to admit and that is why you stay in this thread?

Yea worried like you said I should have been last year and he year before that. I can still recall your same claims the past few years. I have no problem with opinions but I also have no problem pointing out the flaws in such brash statements like you made that Bw is the favorite to be state champs. Sorry you don't like the heat.

There are only flaws in the statements if they do not hold true at the end of the year. If they don't then congrats to you and MF. I agree with Walter. Your thread jacking is over the top.
