Good Lord, you're a level-headed one. You state you wouldn't be surprised if he isn't the best QB in NoKY by year's end, that would make him better than Drew Barker, who is the things that I listed. How did I make a leap of any kind? You won't be surprised if he is the best up here....the best up here currently is Drew Barker....so that would make him better than one of the nation's elite prep QB's. Again, you're confused how I got that from what you wrote? Really? What garbage am I trying to pass off? I say let's pump our breaks on the expectations for a talented young player and not say he could be better than an elite kid in 4 months, and I'm the one passing off garbage?

Yes, but not necessarily "BEST COW" just the won chosen to wear the Bell I get what you are saying and certainly the true meaning is "Lead Cow" I use it all the time --probably incorrectly, but I rarely, if ever user it to mean the LITERAL Best" I think we read too much into some post and put words in people's mouths.

 

I just don't believe that QS was trying to say he would be the Best or No. 1 QB in NKY. I'm actualy quietly a strong critic of QuickSlick and rarely agree with him, but in this case I believe he's using this correctly and understand what he means. On the other hand, Moore may, in-fact be the the Flavor of the year in NKY because many have moved on from Barker now that he has committed. He may also end up the leader stats-wise.

 

Wasn't Pike all the things that Barker is/was recruiting-wise? He certainly wasn't the best QB in NKY in any of his years.

I am obviously the level headed one ... I certainly didn't proclaim Moore to be the best QB in the history of the world.

"I would not be surprised .... " pretty sure that is a pretty level headed statement (and it is possible).

 

Not to mention ... I never stated at all that I think that Barker is the best QB up here. (I did answer Packman's question and compared where they both are right now based on what I have seen so far in 7 on 7). Barker is great player ... and has earned everything he has gotten. That does not mean that I think he is or isn't the best QB up here. I only brought up his name when another member asked if I thought Moore was better. Is Barker the best BCS recruit in NKY right now .. uh ... no duh--but for me .. being the best and being the biggest recruit are different in my mind ... but heck .. what do I know about football .. ha, ha, ha).

 

I am 100% sure that you have no freaking clue as to who I think the best QB is in NKY (not to mention ... I seriously doubt I am ready to pick anyone before 7 on 7's are over .. let alone the regular season).

 

With that said ... I stand by my statement ... It would not surprise me at all if Moore ends up being the Bell Cow of NKY QB's this season. AND .. guess what ... it wouldn't surprise me if Barker was ... or Houliston from Highlands, or whoever Cov Cath throws out ... or Fieger.

And just so everyone realizes that I am not down on Barker ... here is my best example:

 

A few years ago there was a huge prospect in the area ... All world, Elite 11, etc ... can't miss. Was he good ... yes. Were there a lot of people who automatically assumed he was the best QB in NKY ... YES! Was he good enough to play at the highest level--I personally thought so if some issues were addressed.

 

At the same time ... there was another QB in the area who was not a bigger prospect (and he probably should have been) ... but was definitely a better QB. (Which so far has turned out to be true).

 

(And let me be clear--I am speaking about QB play .. not character ... there has never been a day where I would compare Drew Barker to this "other" QB in regard to character).
