I'll ask again.. What secrets has he given away that threatens our security? Other countries and our enemies have known about our cyber surveillance since the patriot act.. What he has revealed is that the feds are spying on everyone. Individuals and private companies that are not related to terrorism.. He may know secrets that would harm the nations security but has he released any yet?

marvel, you're making a lot of assumptions about Mr. Snowden as if you know him. How do you know what his motive was? I won't say he is a traitor anymore then I will call him a patriot. If Mr. Clapper lying under oath to congress is what pushed Snowden to do what he did there were better ways to do it. Dropping a bomb then running like a coward isn't the best option. I will also add that allowing him to get away with doing what he did sets a bad precedent. While history may prove he did the right thing what stops the next guy from releasing information he deemed was necessary, then the next guy, then the next, ect....

When you have some actual evidence rather than your mere suspicion based off what the MSM tells you, then I will consider changing my perception of him.

 

 

 

You take an oath to protect the Constitution as a soldier. Same goes for politicians. If you see an injustice going on and you don't act, you are breaking that oath.

I don't hate the government. I believe our government's main purpose is to live by the restraints that are set in our Constitution. Its number one priority is to protect the natural rights that are given to us by our creator. Today it works as if it endows us with those rights. So yes, I despise any government and the officials that run it who think as such. Its legal plunder.

You also weren't alive...that is why its a hypothetical. The point being is you would of done the right thing. During that time the government allowed one person to hold the property and privacy rights of a people. Only it was their physical self. In this case it is the digital property of an individual.

And Clapper wasn't the only thing to make Snowden do this. Listen to Glenn Greenwald. He can provide some good insight.

 

If you don't want to have a positive viewpoint on Snowden, don't. But I think it would better serve the country and the people to instead call for Clapper to be fired.
