June 13, 201313 yr If you had 3 days in Europe to go any where you wanted where would it be? My wife and I will be going to Germany in Sept and we have an extra 3 days to spend pretty much anywhere we want. I'm learning towards Rome but not positive yet.

I would have a hard time choosing between Rome and Paris. Lots of history and great food in both places.

When my son was a junior in college he spent a semester in Leeds, England. Their spring break was a month long so we bought him a 4-week Eurorail pass. He went to Paris, Madrid, Rome, Florence, etc. Loved it all. It would be tough for me to figure out what to cram into 3 days!

My daughter and son in law spent a summer in Germany a couple years ago for studies and took advantage of it and went to Austria and toured the places Sound of Music was filmed, absolutely loved it.

But as has been mentioned, Rome and Paris would be great as well.

Bavaria, where my dad's mother's family is from, and Moravia, where dad's father's family is from. Istanbul England Would start with these. Inside the US, I would like to visit Baltimore, Philly, Charleston, SC, and the Pacific Northwest.
