Let me echo the thoughts of others, WOW, that schedule is unbelievable. Have to love their play all-comers attitude.

 

Lot of buzz about this group from the summer / workouts. I have to believe that Cole's success / involvement on the gridiron is putting him behind basketball development. Not a bad thing, but it is what it is. I'll be shocked if he is able to win the 2-guard spot at this point. My hunch is that Ben Heppler and Theobald (who could play the 1 and kick Nick Ruthsatz to the 2) will battle for that off-guard spot, and then Cole will jump into the mix when football winds down.

 

The key, as many have pointed out, will be the front-line. If the starting three are Wichmann, Schuh, and Schult, you are really going to have your hands full against good bigs. They could really use the size of Sam Dressman back on the hard-court, anyone know if there is a chance of him returning post-football for his senior season?

 

Their record may not be great come March, but this crew will certainly be battle-tested and ready for post-season play.

TOG, from talking to a few people, I believe Covcath plays Dayton Dunbar at the Fairfield event. Could be wrong, but if that is the case add another strong team to the mix as Dayton Dunbar features 2015 top 100 4* Ohio St commit AJ Harris.

From seeing Covcath, Holmes, Newcath, and Dixie's schedules....all 4 of the top teams in our region are really stepping up to the plate this year in terms of competition and representing NKY. I love it!!!

I know the Covcath guys are putting in some serious work right now down at ASAP in Covington to get mentally and physically tough for this upcoming season. If you are a Covcath fan, I have something very exciting planned for my preseason coverage of the Colonels. I think (and hope) you guys will really enjoy it when I release it in November.

Nice kid-very scrappy.

Interesting that a kid who never got much press or was never recruited very heavily makes a D1 program.

Good luck, hate to say it, but it may be a reason for me to watch UC this year.

Tobler is a good student and should boost the teams GPA.
