There you go twisting things around again. Nobody said he sucked in the field. It was mentioned he wasn't nearly as good as Rolen.

June 1, 201313 yr Author Rolen wasn't that good in the field anymore IMO. Lived off of reputation. He had obviously declined a bit from his younger days, but he was still better than Frazier. And that's not saying Frazier is/was terrible, but Rolen didn't win all those Gold Gloves for nothing.

His defense has been pretty damn good.

June 1, 201313 yr Rolen wasn't that good in the field anymore IMO. Lived off of reputation. One of the most impressive things about Rolen defensively - his arm. Dude had an absolute cannon and he was always on target. I agree, defensively he was slipping last year.

If BP can somehow not win last years at 2B the award isn't given to the most deserving person enough. Not trying to say that Rolen didn't deserve his.
