I know some people keep saying it but I just don't see it.

Reason's being...

Obviously it wouldn't be about money so let's go with this.

- Dan Gilbert would probably not overpay to get LeBron

- Would LeBron go back after everything Dan Gilbert openly said about him?

- The commercial made by Cavs fans that called LeBron a coward.

- Plus LeBron never claimed Cleveland as his home.

I just don't see it..IMO too much damage.

It can and will happen IMO.

Why does everyone think he will?

Because he cares about his image and coming back to Cleveland and winning a title with him as the savior(again) is a story he'd like to star in.

Explain it to me since you think it'll happen.

What would be his reasoning?

I don't think so. I don't think he cares about what Cleveland fans think about him because it's all in the past now. The first year most NBA fans in general disliked him and you could tell that it messed up his game. Now he is back and he is playing happy. I also think most NBA fans like him again.

I just don't see him repatching things with Gilbert or the fans of Cleveland.

IF he did go back it would make the Cavs organization and the fans look like idiots.

Another reason why I can see him going back. He does care about his image. They all do.

Just don't see it. To much damage to repair, Cavs fans plus the Cavs owner made it well known they were done with LeBron.

Agree to disagree. :thumb:

There are two trains of thought.

He could either want to come back home and lead Cleveland to a ship. Or it's just plain smart. When he opts out next year there will be a lot of organizations better setup to win championships in the future than Miami. If DWade is like he is know what is he going to look like in even two years?

LeBron's last decision was a business decision and his next one will be as well.

The smartest move would be Chicago but Rose wont allow it. Where else is he gonna go?

How would people view LeBron if he were to forgive Dan Gilbert?

I voted no, but I agree on the business decision angle. With the Cavs getting picks one and 19 in this draft they could conceivably be setting up to be one of the better up and coming teams, which may make them real appealing to Lebron.

I see the Lakers potentially, or even Brooklyn. I think teams are going to start setting up to prepare for it to happen.

I know he wants people to like him but I just think to much damage done from both parties to just let it be bygones.

Makes Cavs fans and ownership look like idiots and a joke if they allow him to come back, and say they did win a championship. All those people who burned his jersey, called him a coward, etc. will rejoice and love him and all is forgiven? Dan Gilbert showed his distain for Lebron leaving and guarateed a championship before the Heat (how'd that work out for him). I just don't see it from an emotional standpoint.

Plus, for whatever reason let's just say hypothetically (sense most are saying he would win a championship with the Cavs) that he goes back to the Cavs and he doesn't win, then what happens? You can bet the hate from Cavs fans would start all over again and I just don't see him going through that again.

Naw. They have won two of the last three draft lotteries. I think they'll be satisfied with a trip to the Finals.
