Congrats to the Royals....looking forward to our matchup on the 10th.

This was not a pretty game to watch; with 38 or 39 fouls called. Not much flow to the game at all. Mason County was led by Russ Middleton with 14, Darius Miller and Tyreese Scott with 10, Micah Turner with 8 and 15 rebounds. Several bench/JV players saw significant action as Mason's big men were in foul trouble for most of the night.

 

Fleming had a very tough time scoring, hitting 28% for the game and also having 8 or 10 shots blocked.

We could not score against Mason ,even on break away opportunities,Mason young players King, Setty,Tolle,Browning and Stahl all stepped up for them when Turner,Miller,Pawsat got in foul trouble ,those guys could beat alot of varsity teams I have seen this year. We need to find a consistent scorer at Fleming,coach Messer does a fine job with what he has.

Yeah it was real nice seeing the jv royals pressing in the 4th quarter. the royals looked very good and considering the 8th graders fleming had playing and the juniors mason had playing it was a very NICE showing of sportsmanship in the 4th.

Believe me he was very nice he didnt play Setty,Browning or the hammer very much at all during the game or at all toward the end.Those 3 do the majority for the JV so yes he was very nice .

Sullivan was gracious it could have been a lot worse.Four of the 5 that starts played very little is why i say that .

While they're absolutely no match for Scott County and Lexington Catholic's second-string, they usually hold their own against the local teams.

Last night the Panthers only had 6 baskets in the first half and 8 more in the second half; a combination IMO of the way the game was called, poor shooting (28% for the game) and lots of blocked shots.

Masons varsity was absolutley no match for Scott co. or Lex Caths. 2nd string ,I was just complementing Masons young players ,wishing we had some coming like them.Some of Masons starters seem to not produce as much as all of the younger players on the bench also Scott co. and Lex Caths. 2nd string could win the 10th region hands down.

I seriously doubt that statement.If you think Mason's starters are that bad fine,but don't throw the rest of the 10th region teams in with them.There are several teams that could beat Scott Co. 2nd string along with Lex Caths.

Maybe Pendelton but nobody else,and I did not say Mason staters were that bad I just said the young kids were as good as some of the staters,you could put any of the rest of the kids on the bench with Miller,Middelton,and Turner and still win .

Good win for the Royals. Allways a 10th region best rivalry.

I would say Clark,Brossart,Campbell,and Mason along with Pendleton would give their second string all they wanted and then some.They wouldn't win the region hands down.
