Mason 61 Fleming 42

I don't think it was just because Fleming went to the state tournament. I believe there were a couple other factors that were very publicized at the time.

How soon we forget!

This thread could be hashed forever about the subject between these two rivals. I can tell you that I witnessed a freshmen girls game about 3 years ago between these two schools where Fleming won with their JV team who were freshmen playing a Mason team of 7th and 8th grade girls who were picked to fill out a freshmen team and gain experience and Fleming pressed all the way up until the last two minutes of the game and ended up winning by 51 points. Guys its basketball, you don't forget those losses but you just try to get better before the next time you play. When skill level, talent, and inexperience are all down and thrown in together, your not very good and your going to suffer your bumps along the way. But if your talking about lack of class a school shows in these wins, here is a game and example of what you might want to go back and think about before continuing on this thread. 51 point deficit and pressing in the fourth quarter. Those games are not fun, but you coach what you have, and move on and just try to get better!

Exactly the point I was trying to make all along.

Evidently Fleming County is down this year; they will bounce back sooner or later.

When the Panthers can put the ball in the hole, they're pretty good. They just have many nights where they can't even make a simple layup.

I dont mind the final margin, its just the pressing the whole game with that kind of lead is Classless!

2002-2003 Mason 106 Paris 66, Mason 107 Lewis Co 63, Mason 95, Deming 39

2003-2004 Mason 84 St. Patrick 31, Mason 110 Clark Co 62

To name a few Kelly Wells-coached games.

And it would be safe to say Wells wasnt pressing the whole game either

I think you are correct MOJO. He showed class when he was coach at Mason.
