Scott almost upset Conner last year. They maybe they have a great season this year.

I dont think they are a door mat, but winning doesnt come easy, there is a reason why those schools came back on them. Conner was not exactly full strength vs Scott.

You are correct. Winning doesn't come easy in this division. The teams seem to be closely matched. And yes they lost some games because of mistakes late in the game but thats part of learning for these boys. Scott returns alot of starters and will have alot of seniors playing this year. Something they haven't had in the past. I think it will be pretty interseting to see how things shake out this year with so many questions for all of the teams in the division. Also there aren't mnay teams that are full strength all season. I think Scott only had a few games where all the starters were on the field at one time.

You obviously have not looked into the class they carry. Almost all of the starters have had their spots on the field since they were sophomores (Upcoming Seniors). They have many players being recruited, supposedly the "best" class to come out in the school's history. You also have to remember that they do not have the enrollment size of Cooper, Conner, etc. It will be interesting to see what they do this year.

 

Frist, I have said from the beginning that this could be Scott's year. They alot returning this year and yes they gave Conner and SO all they could handle. However, you cannot lump Cooper into the discussion on enrollment because there is virturally 0 difference (about 10 kids according to US News). Conner and SO on the other hand have a larger district to pull from. The favorites for this district ought to be SO first and Scott 2nd just based on what is returning but at the end of the day you still have to play the game. Should be interesting with two of the big guns (Conner & Cooper) losing so much from last years teams.

Yes I am referring to area. Addtionally while it may or may not be signficant they do have 200+ more students in the school. IMO that does have an impact on athletes to pull from. Cooper's district is sandwiched heavily by Boone and Ryle who are getting the lions portion of students.

How do the coaching staffs matchup? Each team has seen pretty good results the last few year. Borchers at Cooper gets a lot of cred, but you hardly hear of the guys at the other schools. What are their credentials?
