Henry Clay's Trey Grundy Plans to Transfer

Featured Replies

Ive also been hearing rumors about more top players in the state maybe transferring to prep schools. Been rumblings about the Snider camp not being happy about Louisville recruiting all those other guards for a while now. I wouldn't be surprised to see Cunningham and green follow Grundy to Hargrave. They are very close. Losing Grundy is a big blow to Henry clay

I've heard alot of talk about Snider from Ballard being next. Kids think they will get exposure and better college opportunities at Prep school. Snider has already committed to UofL. Not sure why he would need to unless his committment is soft. Heard they are not happy with UofL recuriting more guards. The kid out of Seattle is evidently a guard a 6'8.

My thought process is that Snider is going to be facing stiff competition at UL for playing time. He'll better prepare himself for that college competition by facing the best each day in practice and in games. He won't get that at Ballard.

I haven't heard or seen anything to indicate that his committment is soft or that he may head elsewhere but that's not to say the Snider camp isn't unhappy about the plethora of guards headed to UL.

That's the recruiting game and this is how it works. No matter how good you are and whether you have committed or not, ANY good coach is ALWAYS looking for your replacement. While Q may be a lil uneasy with the recruitment of other guards, including the dynamite JC PG coming in next season, I don't think he will waver and shy away from the competition. I've known him for years and he and his "camp" are diehard UofL backers so I'd be surprised if he de-commits however it could happen. Just the nature of the beast that is recruiting.

Quentin is certainly good enough to compete with anybody in the country. He shouldn't have to worry about competition.

Besides playing against better competition each day in practice, a prep school will also offer more time to practice. Kids should improve. But, keep i mind, not all kids go that route for that reason only.

Those are my feelings as well. I'll be pulling for him and other Ky kids wherever they are. I've always been a huge Q fan since the first time I saw him(partly because he looks like old school rapper Special Ed) and I have told many that I'd be a hardcore UL fan when he gets there.

Of course, he'd look great in Duke blue and he'd get to play in the YUM Center every year as well. :D
