But out of the last 10, Boyd was the only top rated and solid team that the Devils played and they lost! So they still have to prove that healthy, they can beat one of the top 16th Region teams!

I wouldn't exactly call that a bad game, although that is 7 below his scoring average. Plus he didn't play much of the 2nd half because of foul trouble.

Kinglion you have to admit the guy averages between 2-25 shots a game. Last night was the most efficient he has been all year.

Last I saw listed in the paper for area leaders, he was somewhere around 45%. That may sound high to some people, but you ave to take into account the number of layups that he shoots in a game. They definitely help his shooting % alot since he takes it to the rim quite a bit.

The Devils are beginning to turn the curve. They are playing very well and this Fri will be a good test to get ready for Boyd Co. We all said once they all get healthy. The Devils will be a team to make a good run to The Sweet 16.

Clark has a way of making others implode! Ask Former EKU guard Zach Gillium! And did I not say stop him, I said slow him down. Anyway Owens has not been guarded by the best defender in the 16th YET!!!

I'd say not having Clark for the first Boyd County game made a little bit of a difference and would keep them from being considered at full strength. Wouldn't you agree???

Owens missed 48 shots vs Ashland and Morgan. 11-35 in both games. He must have been shutting himself down in those games.

Exactly, he was taking terrible shots those games, but last night he played within the flow of the offense and shot 13-21 while scoring 35. Hopefully he realizes this is the way to play and after talking to him after the game, I believe he does. That could really spell trouble for other teams if the whole team meshes.

What schools from the 16th region have played a tougher schedule besides Ashland? Most have played teams from withing the region during this time. Russell is 8-1 in that span against teams from the 16th. So really they have proven to be one of the top teams in the region. Also as has already been commented on, Russell was not at full strength when they played Boyd Co.
