Tanner made some very nice throws last year as a 8th grader playing freshman ball. His long ball was accurate as could be. He threw into coverage some, but thats to be expected with a young QB. He should continue to get better, how much better we'll have to wait to see. I think he will make a good to better than average varsity QB. No, I don't think he's moving. Dad is coaching the freshman offense this year. So we've been told.

Everyone thinks Ryle is run, run, run. It's only because we have not had all to tools to be different. I think that over the next few years people will see a different style to Ryles offense. He should start two maybe three years varsity. I'm thinking two though.

He was a D1 QB that made it to the Elite 11 qb competition and they still never threw the ball much, other than a hitch to the TE or a bubble screen and they had plenty of talent at WR. So we shall see if they do stat to throw it more.

Conner wasn't Elite 11. It was another QB competition you're thinking of. Regardless, it doesn't change your point.

I hear ya, that's true. The coaching staff says they want to open it up. With the young talent they have coming up at running back we'll see. ( England, Mcgregor, Jarvis, Bateman) Maybe make two or three WR's. Who knows. It's a wait and see.

I need to see him in person. A lot of whether you are an elite D1 qb is size. There are a ton of great high school qbs that do not have the body. Look no further than Nick West, Chad Lawerence, Blake Bir, and Tyler Morris just here in NKY the last few years. All where great high school qbs but their size limited their options at the next level.

I totally agree its been a while since ive seen Tanner but he has a bro at Ryle who was around 6'2" as a soph, if Tanner gets to that he should be good to go.

I'm curious what tools you think has been missing for Ryle the last 2 years and why they had to run run run? I'm just curious because I have said the same thing and when I stated my reasons I was lambasted by a member on here. I still believe I was right but am curious to what tools you think they were lacking in the last 2 years? I think they had a great line and some talented receivers etc.

Not to bash the Kid at QB last year, we all know who, but when we are in the stands pointing to a receiver 5 yards behind the corner and no safety help on a skinny post and we are screaming throw the ball and he takes 2 consecutive sacks because he can't throw the ball to a spot and let the WR go get it. That speaks for itself. We didn't have a QB last year. Davis was not the answer. Ryan can't throw and is way too short.
