Why concede the run there?

 

You pull the infield in, and a little flair makes it 5-4 Angels.

Still thinks odds are in your favor to play up and try to cut that run down, can't worry about a little flair. Play to win, don't play not to lose.

Only time you do that is if your tied or down. Play for the tie and prevent worst case.
