Parking for Reds

If you want to eat, I'd recommend the Yard House or the Lager House. Both have a good variety of beers and good food. They are "sit down" establishments. A yard of a nice, craft beer is $15. You can get a pint for $5, probably. Both places have very good food.

Also, Yard House has 150+ beers on draft!

I don't mind Toby's at all, but there are much better options if you're looking to get some food before the game.

Agreed, but a good drinking environment.

Food wise I agree, if you are with a big group of people it's a good place to go because of size.

Maybe he wants to avoid putting money into that clown's pocket? Same reason I won't ever set foot in one of Jimmy Buffet's restaurants or buy his beer?

Doubtful Jim, not everyone is as cynical and "anti-mainstream" as you are.

On an unrelated note, let me know what kind of shape Lassing Pointe is in this year. For the past 4-5 years, it has been an absolute dump...which is a shame, because it was one of the state's best courses 10+ years ago.

I was really excited to play it. I'd always heard great things over the years.

Nice course. Not great not awful. It was not in great shape. A lot because its been so wet things were mushy. Goat range a lot of it. It's a pretty course. Back 9 was in bad shape. I think it was hole 11 the are doing construction. Through 14 holes 6 were par 3's because of construction which is a little crazy!

Overall we had a good time. I'd play it again. Not nearly as nice as I thought it'd be but you can see the potential. 1st time I've seen Ryle's field. That was pretty cool.

I'm a Beatles and Stones fan. That's as far from "anti-mainstream" as you can get. I am, however, anti-terrible, and Toby Keith and Jimmy Buffett are definitely terrible.

You're an NCC guy, so I'm assuming that's how you've always gone to games. I've never understood why people do that (unless it's a big crowd). You're walking farther & paying...but I guess you get to ride on a ferry.

I used to pay to park w my Dad at Riverfront. Once I bought tickets, I was about saving money for beer. The walk isn't bad. It drops you off right by GABP. You walk up steps and you are right at the steps to the Stadium. It does nOT drop you off at the First Star Center.
