March 30, 201313 yr A whole second in football can mean over 10 yards and you can't block people from getting a shot off at the end zone. But whatever you say..... There is also a whole lot more stops in play and a lot more time to think and anticipate in football. What do you think a whole second is in basketball...cause it can be a lifetime. One second in football is not much...its why they don't even keep track of 1/10ths of a second on the clock. Bad argument, IMO.
March 30, 201313 yr Wow, I didn't see it, missed the junk punch. It will be on youtube tomorrow. For sure intentional...should have been ejected.
March 30, 201313 yr Kansas had happen to them pretty close to what they did in their miracle win in the 2008 championship game against Memphis. But this time the roles were reversed. They were the ones missing crucial free throws (such as Memphis did against them), blowing a big lead with just a few minutes left in the game, and Burke replaced Chalmers with the incredible shots toward the end of the game. What goes around comes around.
March 30, 201313 yr How much time do you think a footballer has to make a choice verse how much time a basketball player has to make the choice to shoot or pass. My guess is in basketball it is nanoseconds and in football its whole seconds. I think you know before you start your drive what you are going to do. These guys sit out near half court and wait to make a move until there are 5-6 seconds left on the clock. They know exactly what their plan is.
March 30, 201313 yr Trey Burke made himself a ton of money last night....Top 10 pick most likely now.
