Did Chris Rolf get fired as the 9th Region basketball assigner?

Featured Replies

This is nothing new. You just found about it? I thought everyone knew this. He's had the LLC for several years and it was not created while he was the assigning secretary. Where you trying to go with this?

Yes, I just found out about it. Great you already knew about it. I am just sharing info, it can go wherever I do not care.

At the varsity level I thought the officals were fine in the 9th Region. Granted, I saw mostly Holmes games, but assumed that those guys/gals got others at different Division levels. I do agree Dayton/ Bellevue means a ton to those kids and communities, but I can't remember one game where officials decided the game that I saw. Now they did change the way teams played, but that goes with the territory. Some officials just call some things closer than others. They are not robots. Judgment calls are always controversial. That will never change. Coaches and players know this and they know to adjust. When a team shoots 100%, has no turnovers, and makes all their Ft's and loses due to a call or two, maybe the refs decide the game, but that ain't happening. It's been said on here by many, in close games you can go back and find 5-6 plays that made the difference that could have changed the outcome. In a 10-20 point loss, the other team was just better that night.

plantman, I'm sure it had something to do with me & FedEx since his house is on my route. :sssh:
