Will Ron Dawn be the next Newport Central Catholic Coach?

Featured Replies

Last time Ron was on the sidelines for the NCC boys they were led to the state tournament by his son... don't look now' date=' but his grandson Steven Pangallo is a seventh grader with a big future in front of him.... certainly seems like a good fit, but I have to wonder... is Jimmy Pangallo interested in the head job?[/quote']

Ron or Jimmy the Breds will not miss a beat! IMO both would be solid choices and make the Birds choice a few miles away even more important for those incoming basketball families

Could Collopy or Meyer take over this job? I always heard that Collopy was the person that did most of the coaching anyway.

Forget about Goetz. He's not getting the job at NCC. He couldn't beat them when he had his chances anyway.

I agree. Antonio Campbell??? Seriously? That kid got no better in the time he was there. Personally I thought he was out of shape and not what people made of him. Sure he would score on kids bc of his size, but when did he ever do something spectacular? I like Erik, but no way Newcath was hiring him.

If it were to be Ron Dawn, so be it. Best of luck to him.

Collopy is another name that will be discussed.

So is it basically a foregone conclusion that they will go in house?

Dawn, Collopy, Meyer, or Pangallo?

I feel like Meyer and Pangallo have been there for a long time, but it could just be me.
