You may be correct... he may be approaching 6'8".

After seeing him at the Conference banquet, Drew is really starting to come/grow into his body. A number of us at our table remarked how much he has grown and is really starting to thin out. Hard to believe this kid is only a soph. He doesnt even look like he is shaving yet... which I am sure he is, but for a kid his size, his mobility and touch around the basket is really impessive and continues to improve and with what seems to be a little more physical maturity to yet to take place this kid has so much infront of him!!

He has already made believers with some of the BGP'ers that werent sure of his talents early in the year. This kid impressed a lot of people this year with his talents on and off the court.... as stated by a member at our table after speaking with Drew, "he is a very modest and impressive young man".

While that "sure of his talents" doesn't quite capture my early feelings(he's obviously talented) , the above is correct overall when it comes to me.

When and where do these teams play? Are they open to the public?

6'9" Freshman? Wow!!!!

He is more 6'7" - 6'8". He is the tallest of the 3 bothers.

That's still pretty impressive. Will he grow more or is he done? I'm assuming he's going to be pretty good if he is on the Travelers squad. I look forward to following his career.

He might still be growing, but probably only 1/2"-1". He played in several games for the Indians this year, but he suffered a knee injury late and just couldn't seem to go the rest of the season. I heard he is having some type of knee surgery over spring break, but can't confirm it.

I remember my sons aau team played against Shelby when they were in 4th grade and he was a monster back then..He could hardly get up and down the court a few times without getting winded. He would run top of the key to top of the key and shoot 3's..I haven't seen him play in 3 or 4yrs.

Hate to hear that. Seems like he'd miss a good portion of the summer then. I hope he heals quickly if he does have surgery.

I wonder if he can still shoot it like that. Never hurts to be that tall with a good stroke.

I am confused as to why a freshman would want to play up at this level unless they were just completely out of everyone else's league. I can understand maybe why a junior would want to play up with seniors to get exposure since the majority of the scouts watch the going-to-be seniors at tournaments. I just don't see the benefit of a freshman playing up unless they will be a complete standout on the sophomore team. Maybe I am missing something so if I am, someone help me out.

I would say 6'6" to 6'7" at the most, played against him at Montgomery County...6'9" not even close.
