March 13, 201313 yr Author I sat through parts of last night's first round games. When commentators were lamenting the end of the league as we know it and -- specifically -- the end of this tournament, I don't think last night's games are quite what they had in mind. Dire stuff last night; Seton Hall and Rutgers are going to get DESTROYED today.

March 13, 201313 yr UC needs a win today. For those that follow the Bearcats closely, how do they match up with Providence? Just based off what I can recall from the first meeting, UC basically did everything they could to give the game to Providence. Council and Cotton are pretty solid players. Assuming UC plays like they have the last month or so, and I expect Providence will win.
March 13, 201313 yr I am sad to see this conference end. Most of these teams have been a part of the Big East for over 30 years. I really think in about 5-6 years we will see TV dollars shrink and these Huge Football Conference stuggle for funding. I am looking forwad to this tourney. I watched both games last night. I will be watching every game. Only thing better would being there in the Garden.

March 13, 201313 yr Author I wanted to go so bad but the expense of New York travel adds up so quickly when you try to throw $500+ worth of basketball tickets on. Couldn't justify it.

As a matter of fact, I believe they were out on Clearwater Beach today in those things. Sure looks like it. UA should have sent some flip flops instead of sneakers to go along with it. Maybe they could have improved the shooting percentage. The sneakers weren't doing anything to help. :sarcastic:
