Now let's assume that the NKU/BOK announced 6,235 is accurate although anyone who believes that 2500 to 3000 more people could have fit in there Sunday night is absolutely crazy.

 

And let's assume "almost 20,000" is say 19,235 for the four sessions. So 19,235 - 6,235 leaves 13,000 for the other three sessions.

 

And given that Tuesday night was slightly more crowded than Saturday afternoon and that Saturday afternoon was more crowded than Monday night......

 

How could only 3957 attend Tuesday night when, even if all the sessions had equal attendance, they would all have had 4333 to make up the 13,000?

 

So either thousands of people were getting in free every session.............. or something does not add up.

 

BTW check out the NKU announced crowd of 6791 for Senior night in these photos. No way this crowd was even half of the 9th region final Sunday night.

The announced attendance figure seems right to me. Lots of seats in upper level and in Holmes end zone.

Enlighten those of us that don't get why the numbers would be fudged either way. Does it look better for NKU to be pulling in bigger numbers now that they're D1? Are they trying to make more off the high school gate by deflating the numbers? Who would have the motivation to inflate or deflate the numbers? FWIW, I thought the crowd at the regional final had to have been higher than that because of the ridiculous lines to get in. I figured if a crowd of 7,000 creates the kind of lines they had Monday, there is no way they would ever be able to sell it out.... game would be over before the last of the line got in.....

I believe that NKU/BOK management guarantees the 9th region a certain amount of money no matter what. If over a certain profit is made by NKU/BOK management then more money than the guaranteed amount must be returned to the 9th region.

 

As for NKU inflating their own attendance figures who knows other than they claim to lead the A-Sun in conference attendance.

I was at NKUs game Saturday night, and besides a Blake Shelton concert, easily the most folks I have seen in that arena. 6-7000 seems reasonable

I am not a conspiracy guy at all, but when I look at those NKU game pictures, there is no doubt in my mind that the 9th region final game clearly had more than what we are seeing in those pictures.

I would venture to say that the announced number for the finals was the paid number and doesn't include all participants that got in free. I'd say total attendance was right at 7,000.
