St Xavier vs Trinity will it happen again .

Just you ever consider they were thinking of the best 'educational' situation when determining the enrollment. Not every school places football wins above all else at their school. That's exactly why they have the class sytem based on size. Contrary to your belief, many of us send our kids to school to learn in the best setting, football is/should be a bonus!

I think you'd be hard pressed to challenge Trinty/X on the quality of their education, their ability to achieve low teacher/student ratios, graduation percentage or ACT/SAT scores, all the while increasing enrollments each year and achieving success in extracurricular activites.

First, we have a tremendous academic reputation...Second, then those that are putting the emphasis on education, need not whine on it being unfair athletically, as they are the ones who hamstrung themselves.

Luckily, Trinity has both.

The people who decide enrollments, ect are NOT necessarily the same people who are doing all the whining about football records. Parents of a district public school do not have direct input as to the #s re: enrollment. Obviously, X & T are different situation. We can excell in both.

Not challenging X & T -their records stand untouched. ST X (and I guess T ;) ) are top notch in academic standing. The original comment, I thought, pertained to schools in general, not X & T in particular. Obviously privates control their educational setting on an individual basis, not as a district or school system as a whole.

If you call your academic record 'tremendous' ...that would make our record Stupendous! :ylsuper: Keep counting those National Merit Scholars...eventually you'll need to use both hands. Oh, and I certainly think the Xmen will be up to the challenge next fall as well

It really should not ever happen. Every other class is seperated by East Region and West Region. Why should 4A be any different? Other than money!

It is seperate East/West....running right through the middle of jefferson county. How would you split up 4A and keep it geographically reasonable? EXACTLY :sssh:....

Keep in mind that, it once was that way, and "they" complained that it was unfair as a JC team was guranteed to make the finals every season....

You can not have your cake and eat it too.

Can anybody beat these guys , and get in the 4 A State Championship and win it.

North Hardin barr any injuries will make a serious run at the title, I believe they will play X for the Region Title in 2006. Don't count out Male to many great players not mention them.

Both NH and Male will be returning there starting RB's, who can carry them to the state final.

NH Mark Terry

Male Douglas Boumount (Sry if miss spelled)

I think you could probably add John Hardin to the list of contenders as well. As usual, the west is again going to be the tougher side. You are right, NH and Male will have some good running backs return but I think X will once again have strenght in #s. Alot of juniors got key playing time on the defensive side of the ball. Add a couple of really strong sophs and ,once again, a strong TEAM defense beats an individual performance in the race to Papa Johns

Next season will be very interesting. Both T and X have some question marks in certain positions. The race to the pizza box should be wide open.

I definitely think you are right. Lots of holes to fill on both sides of the ball for X. Off: less size on line but may be more agressive kids, QB big 'leadership' shoes to fill, RB's Vic and Duece and co. really strong. on Def: line good experience, significantly bigger across with good experience last year- could be the strengh of the D, LB's good competition, sound Jr's and sophs coming up, Secondary- good experience last year acouple of good soph's coming up to join jr's who played well last year. Overall, should be very strong by mid-year.

Anyone have info on T

I really, really do believe this, hence, this is when is when H picks it up.

Warren County started the separation process this year politicking all summer long. Yet, they are building another school. Warren Central was very good in the late 90s. Now, Greenwood takes some kids. The new school will take some more. Lexington has griped the whole time about LexCath. They have some of the larger schools in the state. The they had not opened Paul Dunbar, Tates Creek, Lafayette, Bryan Station and Henry Clay would have

another 200 boys each because district boundaries would have been redrawn (or left alone). Jefferson County has way too many schools. back in the day, Southern had 2500 plus and was very competitive in football. Most metropolitan areas in the USA have much larger schools than Jefferson County. I am not convinced smaller is always better. Student-teacher ratio yes. Overall enrollment, no.

Busing is another issue that helped kill booster support and most school "spirit" in general. You have to care about the place you are representing to get out and bust your tail year 'round for the football team.

These changes in public policy are not the fault of the private schools.
