Roofer recommendation in NKY

Featured Replies

Just got a quote in the mail today from Frisby Roofing. nice 8.5" by 14" color illustration of my house and roof and quoting $5,184.45. The roof I replaced last year cost around $10-12 grand from what I remember (insurance covered it).

For the record I'm not recommending this company, but the approach and presentation was very unique.

I would hope those were at least complete tear-offs of the existing shingles? ...and then a 35 year dimensional shingle replacement?

Man, $12K for a residential job is highway robbery.

Depends on the residence I guess. I've had some claims last year on Hilton Head Island that were 30k plus. Was up in MN this summer, nice houses out on the lakes, $20k was not unusual. They do have some code issues that make it more expensive than in KY though.

I just had my roof completely redone with new sheathing, dimensional shingles, a top of the line gutter system for under $10k. My brother (who lives in Dleaware wear I'm from) has a slightly larger house, and a very steep roof and he's paying close to $20k, which to me seems absolutely crazy.

Exactly what I got. Storm chaser quoted it. Adjuster agreed to it. I'll look for actual tally. All neighbors were about the same.

I just had my entire roof and siding replaced for $12-$13K. All covered by State Farm.

I used Patriot Roofing, they were great.

By the way, Elliot Roofing did mine. Complete tear off, new sheathing, and a ridge vent installed all done for about $7k and done in about 6 hours.
