If the rumor I hear is true that the new X-box will not play used games' date=' I hope it drives them out of business. That's just a gouge of your customers and I hope that people see it.[/quote']

I doubt it ends up happening but yes there is a rumor that you must be connected to the Internet at all times in order to play games, which is a precursor to not being able to play used games.

It's not subscribing to use "your" internet service, you're subscribing to use their online experience.

I've had both. It's not worth it to pay money for one over the other.

Ya know, one thing that I read about concerning some of the more notable games for the next-gen consoles...What about the sports games like Madden and NBA2k14. Will they have them for both consoles or miss out this year and hit them next year?

With a November release likely for both consoles I would say that NBA2k14 would likely have a game for both systems because it's usually released in October.

Madden would be wise to have a game for both systems IMO, but if they don't fix their own problems with the game it won't matter anyway.

Agreed re madden. They have some issues right now and I'm not going to buy the next game unless they fix a lot of them.

I don't like that idea.

I feel so far behind, having just a regular playstation and xbox, lol. that I never use.

The website http://www.XboxEvent.com has been registered by the U.S. Techs group that works with Microsoft and has registered a bunch of other sites for them in the past. This may be a sign that the new Xbox will soon be unveiled.

With tomorrow's reveal of the Playstation 4 I'd expect Microsoft to not wait until E3 to unveil the new Xbox.

Right now there are rumors that

- the new Xbox will have to always be connected to the Internet to play games.

- will feature a blu-ray player

- will feature a 500GB hard rive plus Cloud due to the added use of downloading movies and games

- kinect will be vastly improved

Wow a blue ray player in a gaming system. That's new technology right there. How will playstation ever compete with that?

Just throwing info out there. Thanks for chiming in though.

Microsoft basically shot this down I read. They basically said nobody has said that. I highly doubt it will happen. It would turn more people away from Xbox and I cant see them doing that.

This thread will just continue to be an Xbox vs PS thread.

P.S Xbox is better :D

People just can't help it. Hah

I for one will decide between one system or the other. Is there a good article or site where I can read some quality information comparing the two?

Not really because Microsoft hasn't announced the Xbox yet so right now everything is speculation.

Couple of sites reporting that Microsoft will announce in late April.

Yea still way too early for anything like that, right now they're just getting around to saying they're in the works. Come September you'll have plenty to read about both, may get a good shot of info via the E3 conference in June.
