Final per the scoreboard.

Is this a correct score? After what I witnessed out of Lloyd on Friday night I would have expected this to be a real blowout.

Agree, Lloyd did not look good vs Highlands.

Pretty ugly affair. First half played cleanly, Brossart led 30-17 at half and it looked like the route was on. Second half Lloyd changed their stratagy, drove the ball straight at the hoop, and beat us up at every opportunity. Mustangs shot 6 free-throws in first-half, and 33 in the second half. Lloyd shot 2 free-throws in the first half and 14 in the second half. No flow to the second half - chop fest. Jarice Ewell scored 12 of his 16 points in the third quarter. Niko Carter is extrememly quick and gave us some problems. Brossart led 42-25 at one point, and 57-43 late. Saunders got banged up and missed most of the second half.

We'll take our win and move on. I guess Lloyd felt that employing that style of play was the only chance they had. Trentman a double-double 21/11, and Drew Burns 20 points. Mustangs 24 of 39 from free-throw line. We head to Mason County tomorrow night.

Congrats to Brossart on the win!

Trentman tearing it up these last two games. :thumb:

Will Saunders play against the Royals tomorrow night?

Hopefully!

Lloyd has ZERO inside game so I am sure Trentman and Burns will wake up sore in the morning.

Hope Saunders isnt dinged up too bad.

He's durable!

Congrats Bishop Brossart

Well.......that sort of strategy seems to be something I see more teams using at both the high school and collegiate level. Force suspect free throwing shooting teams to make free throws and referees cannot call every foul. Makes for ugly basketball. I know Brossart has had some games where FT's were an issue but not sure if those were abberations or that they do indeed have problems at times.

Congrats to brossart
