9th Region Pitchers

Featured Replies

Depends on what ur definition if great is. If i throw out the word "elite" does that help downgrade what you think "great" means. If "great" is at the top of ur descriptors, then no she is not great. But if "great" is used in a term to mean a very good 9th region pitcher, than yea, she's great. It's just a descriptive word that I used to agree with him.

So the next time you say "man, she is a great kid" ....is she really "GREAT!"? Or just a very good kid?? C'mon dude! Don't get all technical on me!!![/quote

"Dude" come on its not that hard, if you use the word "Great" it should mean she is great and not just for the 9th region. If she is very good then say she is very good. Are we going to call every player in the area great. Again I haven't seen this girl but my guess is she isn't top 5 maybe not top 10 in the area so you are once again losing your "street cred" by calling an ok, or nice or good or very good pitcher great.

Dude, if you haven't seen her, then you don't know what ur talking about. She played on the same summer team as spencer and is considered that teams number one. So, yes, she's very good and no doubt top ten! And arguably top five in the 9th. I'm disappointed! The way u talk, I thought u knew everything!

Dude, I clearly stated in both posts I haven't seen her. Ok is Spencer top 5? Again I haven't seen her either, I am confussed now is she great or very good or very good for the 9th region. I will leave the comment about me knowing everything alone bc I don't want to embarrass you.

If the bolded above is about the Hoeh girl from Newport, then you are a tad off base. While she is a very nice pitcher and just about every team would like to have a pitcher with her talents, as you can never have enough decent pitching, there is ZERO way she is in the top 5. If she is better than the following (and in no particular order): Butts - St.Henry, Crupper - Ryle, Knotts - Boone Co., Sims - Conner, Smith - Notre Dame, then my name is Mike Candrea.

For that matter Jones and Stewart from Notre Dame could be added to that list.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of her game, she is a big reason for the recent success of the Wildcats program.

You named 4 for sure and then threw two that she is definitely comparable to, so I'm still thinking she's arguably close! Your message doesn't distinctly sway me to believe she wouldn't be in the running for top 5. And I said definitely in top 10 and arguably in the top 5...which means one could make a case for it! Your case was not too convincing that she's not. put hoeh on nd, Ryle Conner or Boone and tell me she wouldn't get more respect with a better defense behind her. She is the only reason people even half worried about playing Newport. And she hits!!!

So the only person that ranked the pitchers was Porky. He has hoeh 7th. Behind Jonson who isn't pitching and spencer who I just told you became number 2 on the same team behind hoeh. So if my math is correct, that would move hoeh to 5 in his poll. So don't act like its out of the question to think she could arguably be in the top 5. At least one other thinks there is a possibility!

I think we all agree on the 4, but I'd like to see who others would say is DEFINITELY better than hoeh...and if you haven't seen her pitch because she plays at Newport....don't bother.

I have seen her pitch and she is a good pitcher but the 9th and 10th Region have a lot of very good pitchers so if you are ranked anywhere in the Top 10 I think that is a positive thing for any pitcher. Let's see how the season plays out ... in the end we will see who the best are by what they achieve.

I named 5 (Butts, Crupper, Knotts, Sims, & Smith) and she is NOT better than any of them. The other two I would rank over her as well, but it would be close. She is DEFINITELY top ten and I would agree, she can hit.

We played Ryle last year and faced miss Smith before she transfered(I assume its the same player). We won the game 5-1. I would say she is okay, but then most of the pitchers we faced in the GMC I would say are better.

Smith was not even Ryle's #1. Smith had a good year two years agos, but Crupper carried the team with her pitching last year. Huge difference from one year to the next

Haylee is a good pitcher, but she is too valuable to keep in the circle if you have another solid pitcher. The ball has to be caught and thrown after it is hit.

I agree, but why the move to ND. I heard it was to pitch
