yes sir......no way I could miss her playing at UT.

So far so good. Nothing is set in stone but I've never seen her work harder......hopefully it pays off.

I'm familiar with some of greenwoods players as well. How would the matchup of greenwood and NC Hoover turn out? Two very dominating teams from their respective states. That would be fun.

A showdown between Cincy and NKY schools in a softball tourn. would be fun. Now if only the coaches could get together and make that happen, I would pay to see those games.

College Softball - I'm sure most on here know about this website. Just in case some don't, here it is.

My dd played basketball, volleyball and softball. Gave up basketball when she got to high school and then volleyball after her sophomore year. Decent at basketball and very good at volleyball

If you and your dd don't want to pursue a d1 school than don't If you and your dd don't want to travel and play on an elite team than don't I won't get on this forum and say your selling your kid short so why get on here and insist that it's to expensive and probably a waste of time pursuing a big d1 school I'm glad your kid will probably be at the same place 6-8 years after college but don't belittle those that do aspire to play at the highest level by insisting that hardly any kid really gets that far. The reality of my dd pitching at her dream school on the same field as cat osterman is priceless. Traveling the country and playing the best softball talent in this country are memories no less important than what you hope for your kid. Do what you think is best without downplaying what others might choose to do, even if doesn't work out for them. Memories and life lessons are created either way...........

Timing was everything. Aside from Murray St losing their coach UT had some events occur that certainly helped us out. My wife and I had to fly to OKC during ASA nationals and pick our dd up and go to the official visit ASAP. Once her club team coach called and said UT wanted to offer...it was over, no other school mattered to our dd. Her dream came true! Nothing but tears of joy from me, my wife, our dd and even her sisters!

Not sure what point is but you and your family are free to do whatever you decide is best, just like I did. Everything my dd has achieved has been through her abilities, drive and desire and as her father It's my responsibility to help her achieve a better life and future for her. Whether its through softball, music, dance or whatever it may be, no matter how many times she may change her mind I will support her. Period.

Short answer is yes. If any kid is good enough and that's their goal or dream than you do what you can to make it happen. My dd was very fortunate and blessed that UT was still an option the summer before her senior year. I'll just say that alot of events, all of which were out of our control, lead to her offer. The value of her scholly far far exceeds any time and money it took to reach this point. I would never second guess or change any part of the last 9 years, ever, things happen for a reason. In my opinion, all of a kids opportunity rests with their abilities, desire to play at the next level and the travel team that they decide to play for, especially during the crucial years of recruitment. A team and coach that cares more about getting "his" or "her" kids in college than the money and self promotion is where you wanna be if college is important.

It's my feeling that your obsession, infatuation, jealousy or whatever the heck you wanna call it with my feelings and my dd softball abilities or lack there of is weird. There seems to be a reaccuring theme in alot if your posts that you havent seen, weren't there or don't know much about this, that, etc etc etc. I just made it quite clear in my earlier posts that seeing a kid once or twice doesn't make one an expert, in fact my dd and I both thought haylee was great. I'd rather have her on my dd team than play against her, so get off your soapbox. Maybe I should just by you some beers and talk softball as two proud fathers .....I just hope I bring enough money. Lol

I refreshed on the subject, and though I don't know the truth, I have no doubt you did what was best. I'm sure it will work out at the new school and I'll bet they are happy that she can play others positions and still be a #1 pitcher if needed.

Not concerned with her playing multiple positions, but if she is considered a top pitcher in NKY then it's a factor. I'm sure the specifics behind closed doors are different than what's said on this forum.
