Folks may want to consider NCC and Beechwood's pitchers too since they are both young and made the region last year. Neither overpowering but they help their teams win and that is what it is all about. Time for Boone to make the Region tourney don't ya think. Would like to see it but will be tough to do IMO without Johnson pitching. I know Knotts is a very good pitcher as well but if she pitches they are not as strong defensively. Who would play SS that would be as good as Knotts and cover the ground she does? Again just my opinion. Does Boone have any other pitchers that will be pitching varsity games this year other than Knotts, now that Johnson is out?

So. Sarah Neace did one hell of a job last season considering she had less than a year of any pitching experience. She has been squeezing lessons in when she can between her commitment to the NewCath girls basketball team.

I am glad to see that we have so many worried about us at Boone. Yes people do THINK we are the third wheel and I do hope this continues until we play them. I do believe this is our time now in the district and cant wait to put it on the field. Knotts pitching was going to happen anyway even if Johnson was playing. Joshnson is a good player and we hated to see her not playing this year but we have young talent that can step in and do well. Johnson has been dealing with shoulder issues for a couple of years now and it bothered her alot for me this summer so Knotts had to pitch more this summer as well. She is upset about not playing alot at short but is happy to do what is best for the team. So we hope to see Porky and everyone on BGP at some games this season. Can't wait till March 14th go Lady Rebels.

Where are people worried about you at? Most are saying they hope you make the region touney. When was the last time Boone did that? It has been a while so yes you have been the third wheel even if some years you have been the 3rd best team in the area. You earn respect on the field not a message board and what Boone has earned is 3rd place in their district. That could change this year but I would think the odds are against them.

Agree she is pretty good, but will she get to pitch any varsity games over Smith? And Smith is only a sophomore. Two very nice young pitchers at NDA.

In my opinion.... there's enough games on the schedule for both to be happy with their time on the mound.

Its funny how you could do a top 10 for pitchers and its is almost the same as a top 10 for teams in the area. Softball is a great game when you have pitching when you don't it kinda sucks.
