9th Region Pitchers

Haylee pitched that game.

Ok, clearly I was not at the game and I do know that Oak Hills did struggle to score runs so I guess it is possible that Haylee didn't have her best game or maybe Oak Hills had a good game. Those things happen in softball.

No, I can attest to her not having her best game. There were other factors besides her being "off". If my memory serves me correctly, and it does sometimes fail me....error(s) were a factor in their score. But by all means, if she was on her game then she would've struck them all out and no chance to score runs.

Man didn't you get your feeling hurt when I said I wasn't sure if your kid was Texas good then you come on here and say a pitcher is ok and most the pitchers in the GMC are better. I don't know most kids in the GMC but I do know a couple and I would say Haylee is very close to most of them and better than at least 1 that I know of. The GMC is the best conf in the tristate and its no secert that the cincy schools for the most part are ahead of the NKY schools

It's my feeling that your obsession, infatuation, jealousy or whatever the heck you wanna call it with my feelings and my dd softball abilities or lack there of is weird. There seems to be a reaccuring theme in alot if your posts that you havent seen, weren't there or don't know much about this, that, etc etc etc. I just made it quite clear in my earlier posts that seeing a kid once or twice doesn't make one an expert, in fact my dd and I both thought haylee was great. I'd rather have her on my dd team than play against her, so get off your soapbox. Maybe I should just by you some beers and talk softball as two proud fathers .....I just hope I bring enough money. Lol

I would respectfully disagree. While Smith and Crupper are both excellent pitchers I still think Smith was their best, but maybe one could say they were both equally as good. It just so happens that Smith is such a great athlete and so versatile that she was asked to play another position, and she did. Therefore Crupper got the benefit of pitching most of the games. Must be nice to have the luxury of having two great pitchers. Good luck to both players this season.

Anyone that saw both crupper and smith pitch last year, there was no question that crupper had better stuff. She threw harder and had better movement. When you get to state, you play your best pitcher and put her on the mound every chance, and crupper was that player. I saw both girls pitch this year and no question who was the better pitcher. But still smith is a good pitcher and will help ND

WOW, I would be shocked if that was the case. Again I have never seen Crupper pitch but if she is better than Smith, Ryle will for sure win the region again.

We will have to agree to disagree on this one. While Crupper does throw harder, Smith has better stuff IMO. Ball has very good movement, has better change of speeds and she hits her spots much better. Don't get me wrong, they are both very good pitchers and I would take either of them on any day, but to me I would go with Smith every day.

Smith was not the pitcher last year that she was two years ago. And you don't pitch your #2 pitcher every game at state. I saw both girls pitch and Crupper was no doubt the right choice. Smith got opportunities early and did not pitch as well as expected. Look at what happened with Conner. First game was Smith and everyone hit the ball well. Other 3 games was Crupper, and not many girls made good contact. Big difference

Strictly on the outside looking in on this subject! If you talk about MVP in the 9th region on who is best player that will help their team I can not imagine anybody being better than the Smith girl! She can hit! She can play D! She can Pitch! If we put all these players in a draft and was having a fantasy leauge I think Smith would be the #1 pick! NOT KNOCKING ANYBODY! All of the girls mentioned are great ( I mean very good) players!

I agree.

I was not making reference who the #1 draft pick was, only who the best pitcher was last year for Ryle. And yes smith has more all around skill than crupper, but not as a pitcher last year.

I also agree.

I'll take Simms from Conner, this is not a knock on either young lady mentioned. I just have seen Simms more than the other two and against the team's she did it against.

I will stick with Smith. I really like all the pitchers mentioned but I still think Smith is the best in the 9th. JMO

Smith or Crupper, way before Biz! She is good, don't get me wrong no way I take her over the other two.

Patience and crowding the plate, especially righties, are key against her. JMO
