We had a water balloon fight at the end of every school year while I was in HS. Absolutely great. Nothing like skipping class and filling a massive cooler up with water balloons. Also having an extrenely hot girl climb in the bed of your truck to get you with shaving cream.... Ahhh those were the days.

February is a little early for a senior prank

What does everybody think?

 

I'm fairly lenient when it comes to pranks. However, these kids let it get out that it was happening and the big cheese laid down the law. They had a choice. They knew the consequences.

 

IF they have video and can ID the launchers of the balloons then I say nail those kids but let the others have their prom.

I think they should have the Prom, simply because that's an awesome, harmless prank! :lol:

First this is not a cool prank at all. Especially after having the students talked to about the safety of the issue, etc. She has to cancel prom due to saying it. In hindsight perhaps she should have said "if you have any involvement you will not be allowed to attend the prom." But since that is not the gauntlet she threw down she must stick with what she said.

 

How is it not a cool prank? It's harmless.

Students slipping and falling on the stairwell? And the fact that the discussion took place prior to the event takes it to complete insubordination................

It's a nice prank but its not harmless when you account for all the water involved. Very easy for someone to fall and get hurt.

On the harmless scale (1 not at all while 10 is very dangerous) it's a 1.5 .

 

Irrelevant though since they were warned ahead of time.

I like pranks but they no what was coming if they did it. Suffer the consequences.

Good for her!! She told them the consequences if it occurred and they completely disregarded her directive. I don't see this as a harmless prank. In addition to kids and staff possibly falling and getting hurt, there may have been Special Ed and/or handicapped kids in there who may have had difficulties processing and dealing with this incident. If they wanted to have a water balloon fight, do it outside after school or go to the water park!

Where is the outcry against balloons? If there weren't balloons there is a good chance this would not have happened. Did these kids get the balloons at home? are those parents being held responsible for their irresponsible securing of balloons at home?

She is supposed to be on 700 WLW here in the next few minutes.

Take the guilty and allow them to work off their crime in some sort of "community/school project" and earn their prom back.

Kinda hard to pinpoint who all was involved. I'm sure it was chaotic.

Principal has some bigger issues going. Reports are a student and her mom came in and beat another girl with a lock. AT SCHOOL.
