And I'm not saying that to be a jerk or anything it's just I know that I played and we would always say stuff like this on the sidelines. Would anyone actually do it? No. It was all in good fun. Does that make me a bad person because we spoke like this? Nope. I actually like to think of myself as an upstanding citizen. I've never been arrested, or even questioned by police for that matter. This doesn't show any type of character flaw. It's a guy who knows he is one play away from being a Super Bowl champion and he is having some fun with his teammates on the sideline.

 

This same guy also had no idea he won a car for getting MVP of the game.. So take it for what it's worth.

I was the only sophomore starter my sophomore year, my junior year we won the state championship and I hardly ever came off the field, and my senior year I was Team Co-MVP (along with my best friend Matt Bohmer), and I was also named player of the year in my conference. And for the record we spanked spindoc's team.

 

We played for a very ethical, honest coach (Bernie Barre) and we never talked about such things. Even if we would have (like you) high school chatter is just that and not a real big deal in my opinion. However, we had the Super Bowl MVP on the NFL's largest stage seriously talking about cheating to gain an advantage in the multi-billion dollar business that is the NFL.

 

Flacco needs to have his pee pee slapped by the league.

That didn’t happen (and if it had, the referee would have awarded the 49ers a game-winning touchdown), but Flacco was asked about it at his press conference on Monday, and he said talking to teammates like that was just his way of burning off nervous energy.

 

“I saw that people were kind of geting a little mad at me for that,” Flacco said, via the Baltimore Sun. “There was four seconds left in the game, and that was probably the only time all year that I was really, really nervous. I thought it was a pretty funny thing to kind of get my mind off of the fact that there is a possibility that he could run this thing back. I’m sure if I did do that, I’m sure that they could probably give the guy a touchdown.”

 

Although teammate Anquan Boldin says Flacco was serious, Flacco says he wasn’t.
