Scott had Castleman all over Ruthsatz. That was what I was trying to say earlier.

He busts his tail but Ruthsatz' handle is too strong for most guards in NKY.

Good eye Clyde (and great shots Panda). Even more ridiculous in still photos. That call brought the most energy from the crowd all night, so there is that.

The best part of all the allegedly bad calls was the CCH players just played on with little to no reaction. One look to their coach and on with the game. Smart!

Random thoughts:

The foul difference had nothing to do with the officials. As others have said Scott got to the rim and got fouled. CCH didn't.

Someone said Scott did a good job on Ruthsatz. I'd disagree. He played an outstanding PG game while scoring 20 shooting 7/11.

Fredrick was the Fredrick we knew about from his soph year. Aggressive. Strong off the bounce. Plus he was strong at the rim a few times as a defender altering shots.

Nick Jackson was solid. Not as good as I had expected. A bit of a one-trick pony offensively.

Brad Carr should get a lot of credit. Their performance is better than the sum of their parts.

Felt had a solid first half. Zero points in the 2nd. Takes too long to get his shot off. However, if you give him room like CCH did in the first half he will hit them.

The block/charge call is unfortunate but by rule they handled it correctly. The problem is that before every game you talk about the "double whistle." Everyone agrees to not immediately go with a signal until eyeballing your partner. However, sometimes you forget and are so confident of your call that you sell it. It happens. Now I've never seen it happen twice in a game but then one official act like he didn't blow his whistle. Scott had every right to be upset on the 2nd one.

You can't grant a timeout with the ball rolling on the floor.

The official were 100% correct in not calling anything when Jackson attempted to block layups and hit the backboard - even if the backboard shakes. No call.

Disappointed in the crowd. Two good teams. Should have been full.

Excellent explanation on the 1st bolded. AGREE 100% on the next two.

Huge crowd of BGP's members at Scott tonight. Enjoyed seeing and talking to a few of them.

Any coach I have ever been around will say "Act like you've been there before."

Tonight was my first chance to see Harret for CCH. Kid has a nice game. I'd have to think he would have started at HHS this year.

He'll be in the rotation next year.

2nd time seeing him. Talent is there. However, he needs to be more cognizant of his teammates especially when they're open for good looks.

My understanding is the kid can score the ball, but as you mentioned he neglects his teammates at times. I've seen him play since 7th/8th grade and this has always been his flaw. Nice player, nice kid, but will he stay at CcH? He's been to a lot of schools in a short amount of time.
