July 16, 201313 yr Alright so here are my thoughts on Season 3 and the previous 2 since I watched all 30 episodes in just under 11 days. Season 1- Really thought the Ned Stark storyline could have went further, seemed like a quality character that died off too early. Thought it was odd to show the white walkers at the beginning then not show them again. Kinda lost interest with that at first. Season 2- Not much complaint in this season. Season 3- - Although a lot of people were upset about Robb Stark dying, I don't see the anger. I believe the show tried making him a major character but he barely had any screen time for him to be such a battle king. - Thought the Red Wedding was great/horrible all the same time. Almost a bittersweet moment. - I wish the Queen was dead already, I hate her. - While we're at it kill King Joeffrey (sp?) too. - Dany (Dragon lady) is one bad lady. Absolutely love her character. My only thing with the show is that it seems as if they get rid of characters rather quickly.

They will make the show more enjoyable to watch, simply because it will help you follow the characters.

Yeah my only thing is I don't really get into reading books, I know they are better than the shows and go into a lot more detail, etc. So has the show followed the storyline of the books so far? Did characters die in the show sooner or later in the book? Are there characters in the show that aren't in the book (main characters)?

The directors made this show for the sole purpose of the Red Wedding. That has been a moment we've been waiting for for 3 years. There is still a lot to look forward too but that was the big one.

July 16, 201313 yr The big thing with Ned was that NOBODY who read the books seen it coming. You had no idea that GRRM was going to just flat out abuse his characters like that. It sets the tone for the entire story. This is a show/book series where the good guy doesn't always win and I think that makes it more realistic. Welcome to the love/hate fest that is Game of Thrones. I remember when I read that in the first book. I started reading it after watching the first two episodes of season 1 but finished it before the finale of the season. That and the golden crown for Vasarys were two big gasp moments for me.
