35th District Tourney to be at Holmes

Knew about this when Holmes played CovCath at CovCath from SS. NKU wanted to double the rent from last year. I guess when you move to Division I, you can charge more or you need more money to operate your athletic program especially when there haven't been many fannies in the seats at BOKC to watch the Norse play!

Easy choice for HC then

Pay to use NKU's gym? Or use a gym with similar size and the same size floor (Holmes) for free?

Are you kidding me? Let's be honest, Beechwood wouldn't have a chance even if Holmes played their second string and the game was held outside at Latonia Elementary.

My thoughts as well when I heard about Beechwood being upset.

I've never been to Holy Cross or Beechwood. What are their gym sizes? I have been to Holmes, which is certainly large enough. I've also been to Covington Catholic, which I would call smallish. Do they host? Any responses would be great.

Beechwood and HC are small. HC has hosted in the recent past.

CCH holds about 1200 and hosts.

Holmes has the largest gym of the four.

If I were Holy Cross I would've taken the selfish route and played on my home court considering the drought they've been in getting to the Regional Tourney.

The Finn is compact but when it is packed the energy level is amazing. There have been some classic Holy Cross vs. Cov. Cath. 1st Round of the Districts do-or-die games at Holy Cross. The Indians are hard to take out at home.

They can use their own gym for free. H.C. might lose a few shekels at the gate but with Campbell, the Indians have a puncher's chance to do some damage should they make it to the BOK Arena. (As Brossart would attest.) No way I would give up the home court advantage.
